A Child

Something tells me
You want to talk to me
You keep calling me
But I ain’t answering

You call me a child
It’s true I’m a child
A child with swollen eyes
A child with a broken heart

Yes I’m a child
Who wishes she could fly
Away from this sight
Away from you

I’m a child, now don’t talk to me
Cause we’re not the same, you and me
No, cause you’re not better than me
So don’t you call me a child

I loved you as a woman
You acted as a man
A man I’d never understand
A man with a hidden agenda

Now look at you
So helpless and uncool
A pity fool
Just look at you

Who’s the child now?
