You must be married by now
With a child on the way
You forgot about me
You forgot about us
You forgot about our love
Nevermind the hurt
Nevermind the lies
Nevermind the other guy
We’ve made mistakes
But somewhere along the way
We both took the blame
We never looked back
I never wanted to end it that way
You met someone else
And I can only blame myself

How can God be so cruel

Facing the world one more day
People say
Tomorrow’s another day
You never understood it
You just survive it
One day at a time
Life’s a drag
And love’s worse than that
Tick tack
Says the clock
Knock knock
Who’s there at the door
Your lazy ass boss
Trying to hit on you
But what can you do
In times like these
Give in, give up
People say money can’t buy happiness
But it sure pays my bills on time
I’m starting to doubt the wisdom of these people
