A lover, a friend, or a liar

Will you then realize
All the mistakes you’ve made
All the friends you’ve put aside

When you tell me another convincing lie
Will you see the hurt you might cause me
Or will you justify it, cause you truly love this guy
Maybe that’s why you never convided in me

When I tell you I’ve lost in a friend in you
Will you see all the stupid things you’ve done
All the lies you have put me through
Has left you with no one

When I ignore you and your cries
Who will you turn to then
Who will believe your lies
Who will hold your hands

When we were young
I used to love you
Adore you
I even idolised you
Showed you off everywhere we went
I fell for your naivity
And the fact that you loved me

When we were young
You taught me how to love
You taught me ways of live
Yes you’ve changed me
And everyone could see
How much you meant to me

When we were young
We used to laugh and hold hands
Forever friends
Forever love
Forever us

When we were young
Never thought we’d get older
Be smarter and even wiser
But you let your guard down one day
Let me see through your disguise
What an unbelievable lie

Now that we’re older
Smarter and wiser
We’ve parted ways
For reasons unknown
Maybe I loved you too much
Maybe I adored you too much
Maybe I idolised you too much
Or maybe we should have held hands more
Laughed more

Now that we’re older
I miss you even more
It’s a shame being unable to change the past
Or stay in the past
But maybe, just maybe
This is for the best

I’m sorry for being tired of the way I am 
I’m sorry for not holding your hand
To keep you safe and warm 

I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you
I’m sorry for not knowing what to do
Like that time I was lost without you

I’m sorry I have said those empty words
I’m guessing I wasn’t the first
I’m sorry I won’t be your last

I’m sorry I kissed you
While my mind was somewhere else
But I just couldn’t help myself

I’m sorry for all the lies I have told
All the mistakes I have made
I’m sure even you wouldn’t have stayed

I’m sorry I didn’t give you a chance
To put all this to an end
I was too proud to let you give us the final blow

So I’m sorry for leaving you
Sorry for knowing what to do
But not sorry for missing you
